Software Engineer
High Performance Computing is a growth target for Sun!
A key attribute of such systems is an efficient, and robust fabric implementation. Sun has technology and an established team of experts to address issues and deliver high-performance fabrics for large compute clusters and has a position for a software engineer, MTS4 to join and complement this team.
Key responsibilities:
- Product specification, design, implementation and test of fabric management software for component, as well as topology management.
- Evaluate and suggest improvements to design processes and tools, and interactions with the open development community
Job Description
Skills and background for the candidate for the software engineer, MTS4 position requires:
- A Master (or higher) degree in the area of communication technology, scientific computing and software engineering
- Extensive background in network topologies and issues & methods for configuration and management of these topologies.
- Extensive background and experience in the Linux operating system and community tools.
- Background in project management and ability to lead others is desired
- Good written communication skills
- Experience and knowlegde from high-performance interconnect technologies such as Infiniband desired.
