Job Summary
The Sales Consultant will assist Sales Exec. team, providing support for the account/relationship management organization of partners and other Sun Sales and Delivery organizations. The Sales consultant is a Sr Sales specialist and acts as a temporary key member of the account team and has overall engagement responsibility for account activities/business owned by the Sales Execs. The Consultant maintains the overview and portfolio of leads, initiatives, proposals and projects from initiation to conclusion as it relates to account initiatives. He conducts business and takes decisions under the leadership and guidance of the Account Manager and the Sales Consulting Manager.
Job Description
The Sales Specialist will be the Primary Sales Engagement manager or Services Sales Specialist assisting internally the Sales teams and and external customers through the delivery of Sun's IP as part of the Sales Engagemet Processes. The Sales Consultants will provide Life cycle management for customer opportunities and engagements. Ensure both short and long term issues are adhered to. Participate with the Clients in there account planning. Leads/assist in development of IT Business Strategies with the Client and support sales marketing efforts to actively identify opportunities ensuring all revenue opportunities are captured. Provides feedback/recommendations for service delivery issues to the appropriate members of the virtual team. Coordinate strategies to assist the customer in solving there business and IT Challenges. Understand the business strategy of the Customer/Client and Support the Business strategy of Virtualization and the Customers IT initiatives.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Worked in a large Data center as part of Operations, or has been part of a IT Engineering or Facilities organization working with Data Center optimization.
- Experience in a Consulting Sales role in the past.

IT Business Strategy Understanding of SW virtualization technologies with in the IT industry
