Hardware Engineer

High Performance Computing is a growth target for Sun!
A key attribute of such systems is an efficient, and robust fabric implementation. Sun has technology and an established team of experts to address issues and deliver high-performance fabrics for large compute clusters and has a position for a hardware Engineer, MTS4 to join and complement this team.

Key responsibilities:

• Product specification, deap Signal Integrity analyzis, PCB design and bring-up of boards for integration in system level (switches) products.
• Evaluate and suggest improvements to design processes and tools, in particular in the SI area.

Skills and background for the candidate for the hardware Engineer, MTS4 position requires:

• A Master (or higher) degree in the area of of communication technology, scientific computing and hardware engineering
• Extensive background in PCB design and Signal Intergrity associated tools
• Background in project management and ability to lead others is desired
• Good written communication skills
• Experience and knowlegde from high-performance interconnect technologies such as Infiniband desired.
